As a startup company, Smartisan has benefited greatly from the open source community, especially in the early stage of our adventure. For this we are eternally grateful and have always hoped to contribute meaningfully in return. So we all feel a deep satisfaction at being able to make a donation to OpenSSL–this is already the best reward we could hope for, although we certainly have also benefited in terms of our public image and reputation through the resulting media coverage in China。

On top of all this, we appreciated receiving your kind letters of thanks, it is always warm and delightful to hear from you。

We are also pleased to know that our donation arrived in a timely manner, and to some extent helped in relieving your urgent funding issues. If everything goes well, we hope to continue donating to OpenSSL in the future。

另外，我们对OpenSSL的四次捐款中，有三次的钱，是来自我们公司在中国所做的大型发布会活动的门票收入。我想强调的是，这些买票入场的观众，(通常被称为“锤友”，“Friends of Smartisan”)，知道门票收入会用于对开源项目的捐赠。他们当中的很多人，为能够参与资助类似OpenSSL这样的组织感到非常荣幸。如果可能的话，希望你们的公告中，能够跟他们打个招呼，谢谢。

Also, we would like to note that three out of our four donations come from the ticket sales for our major product launches in China. I do want to stress that these participants–commonly known as“friends of Smartisan”–fully understand that all ticket revenues will be donated to open source projects. As many of them feel honored to be able to contribute to great open source projects like OpenSSL, if possible I hope that you can consider acknowledging them in your announcement。
